The rear-drive BMW M6 is offered as a coupe or convertible and is powered by a 5.0-litre V10 that pumps out a thrilling 500 hp and 383 lb/ft of torque. Expect to launch from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The driver can choose between using paddles on the steering wheel or the shift lever on the central console to operate the seven-speed SMG Drivelogic that allows for extremely fast gear changes without having to reduce speed, decrease engine power or use a clutch. Maximum acceleration is made possible by Launch Control, which uses the optimum range of revs to shift through the gears automatically. A six-speed manual transmission is available. The dashboard layout is first-rate and similar to the 5 Series sedan. It provides access to in-depth functions like the maximum-performance P500 Sport mode that unleashes all 500 horsepower (400 hp being the default output) with instantaneous throttle response.
